Job description

SPX Flow Technology is on a regular base searching for new colleagues for positions as project engineer, mechanical design engineer and electrical & controls engineers. If you are interested please contact us for more detailed information. The candidate will be responsible for carrying out all detailed electrical and control systems engineering for standard and customised air and gas dryer skid packages, including preparing wiring diagrams, logic diagrams, control narratives and preparing the bills of material for the hardware for production. Ideally the candidate has programming experience and knowledge of the following would be desirable: Siemens (S7-200, S7-300, S7-400, OP73, OP77) and /or Allen Bradley (ControLogix, CompactLogix, MicroLogix, SLC-500, PanelView 300) etc.

Furthermore familiarity with oil & gas specifications & major engineering contractor specification requirements would be advantageous.

Main Duties & Requirements

• reviewing and applying client specifications to the dryer package control system design;
• applying knowledge of international standards, instrumentation standards (Hart Protocol, Foundation Fieldbus), hazardous area requirements, and other oil and gas industry requirement for electrical and control systems;
• carrying out the detailed design of the control system, including hardware and software requirements for the PLC or DCS controlled systems;
• preparing wiring diagrams, logic diagrams, control narratives for approval by the client;
• liaising with the project engineer as necessary on client requirements and scheduling
• preparing the bills of material necessary hardware for production
• oversee the functional testing of the control system in the factory prior to shipment;
• preparation of client electrical documents for development of standardised product range;
• travel to client's site when necessary for on-site testing and commissioning support.

Requirements and competences

• Bachelor or Masters degree in electrical engineering;
• Several years working experience in similar control systems detailed design role;
• Fluent in English and Dutch. Knowledge of the German language is a pre;
• Knowledge about electrical components to European and American Standards such as cabling, conduit, glands, cable trays, etc;
• Quick starter.
